Like I said I understand that, but there are still alot of people who enjoy the Games and the new direction theyre taking.

you say that but they have been selling more and more each year. Just because you dont like them doesnt mean everyone doesnt. I personally stopped buying them past MW3

Your kind of what im talking about.. Ive played CoD since CoD 4 and from the to now ive NEVER ran into people you describe.. Yes you get people shouting down mic but your judging the whole CoD community on a minority

I get that some songs may not be for everyone, I get that, but what you need to understand is that there ARE people who still enjoy Rebecca Black's Friday and get great enjoyment out of listening to the song, those people don't deserve to see potentially their favourite song getting bashed by 30 odd people a day.

The reason that people hate Call of Duty so much is because it's mainstream and basically everyone plays it. In fact, people that play it seem to hate more than people that don't. My bro's room is right next to mine and all I hear "WOW SO UNREALISTIC" or "WOW THESE KIDS ARE ALL NOOBS AND THEY CAMP HARD". Really, it's the players that people hate, not the actual game.

It's the same reason that people hate League of Legends or Madden NFL, the people that play those games more often than not say that the quality of other games in the same genre are less than their games because they are less popular. So Madden > ESPN NFL 2k, or League of Legends > Dota 2. And, for COD players it's COD > Battlefield.

Also, the Call of Duty series seemingly puts out the same game every year (to outsiders or people that don't play it) and gets insane sales and publicity every year, just like Madden. This is another reason why people hate on Call of Duty, it just soaks up the limelight every year despite not being very original. Same goes for Madden.

So, in summation, COD is hated because....
1. The community around that game is notorious for having a high saturation of 'younger players' (squeakers)
2. COD sold out to the mainstream and the games are known for not being much different than the game prior to that year (MW2 vs. MW3, not too many differences there and MW3 was a bit disappointing to be honest.)
3. Some COD players like to boast that their game is the best FPS on the market because it is the most popular, that is something that really pisses people off for whatever reason.


Really, people hate the players, not the game.
