The biggest decision would to either go Offensive or Defensive.

For those of you who said that you would "Rob a bank" take a minute and think about how those institutions would be fortifying themselves with guards that they would be paying a HUGE amount of money to safeguard their assets. I'm sure that if you stepped within a 100 meters of any bank you would have a sucking chest wound in a matter of seconds.

I personally feel that there are plenty of people in this world that need to die and have their genetic code erased from gene pool, but I would go the defensive route.
If I lived in a neighborhood -
1. I would complete some sort of reconnaissance all year trying to figure out what types of armament that my neighbors have and whether or not they have any grudges against me. I would also step up my observations a few weeks before just to see if anyone from outside comes to check out the area.
2. Install a motion sensor system all around the perimeter of my property to alert me if anyone comes close.
3. Install flood lights - It's hard to sneak up on someone when you're blinded by light.
4. Install a 360 degree camera system to observe in all directions.
5. Back up generator
6. Plenty of fire defeating equipment
7. Board up every single window and entry to the house.
8. Create firing ports on all sides with range cards to insure that everything is indexed.
9. Create a fall back plan to collapse to either a safe room or an escape route.
10. Triage plan with kits around the house and in a central location in case anyone is wounded.
11. Equip all that are involved with the right tools
Rifle for engaging targets outside of the house
Shotgun for defense in case the perimeter is breached
Pistol
Ammunition
Flashlight
Personal tool kit
Body Armor with SAPI plates
Helmet
Protective mask (In case of gas)
Radio
Personal medical kit
If possible NVGs or Thermal optics
Provisions for the duration
12. Place materials around the house in case the house is breached and a quick repair job is needed.
13. Hope for the best

If I lived in the country and had some land (more my style) I would add some particular nasty traps in the area surrounding the house along with some IEDs and homemade claymores. I would also scatter some propane tanks around the most likely avenues of approach that are painted white on the side facing the house for easy identification.

This Is A Really Good Question
I Would Just Camp Inside My Room With A Loaded Shotgun And A Secondary Weapon Just In Case I Have To Reload My Shotgun At Any Time And Also Bring Some Food And Energy Drinks And Coffee Its Going To Be A Long Night.

Theres a Room in my house, It can only be entered through one direction, It has one door that leads to a small hallway. Above the hallway is a compartment (Has a bed and a Tv/ It was my room for a week once) and it has a tile so it looks like part of the wall, and it faces the only entrance. Get my guns, load them and prepare for one hell of a night.

I would call up Al-Qaeda and say I'm gonna need some more explosives because it's about ugly up in here.

I'd kill the queen.

I'd go to Sams Club and stack up on food. I wouldn't try killing someone unless they tried to kill me.
