I've been thinking of getting the xbox one an I was wondering if the kinect actually makes the console better experience or even if it is used a lot?

I dont use my kinect very often during playing games, you will need it for the voice commmand however that is a brilliant feature. In addition to that the use of the kinect on xbox fitness is fantastic. However if all you are using the xbox for is games you probably wont need one.

On my 360 I play a few games but also watch a lot of TV as well, I wouldn't be able to use the kinect for Xbox fitness because of the room that I'll have my xbox in isn't big enough to do it, so I suppose I wouldn't really use it

all i use it for is to say xbox record that, because i dont know any other way of recording the screen without saying that..

This ^ I didn't have it set up when i got my Xbox one but have set it up now and it just make everything a lot easier for going into party's and accepting stuff and that.

I do not use it in my games but I use it a bunch with the commands and with Skype.
