i have been using a china reproducting of the coolrunner could that be causing my xbox to not boot. (note:the green light does light up on it)

probably, if i were you i would have bough a real coolrunner. i had a trinity chip in it and the boot times we like instant to 9 hours, and yes i did wait 9 hours once. now i have a coolrunner in it, and instaboot to 120 sec boot never above 120 sec

I work fine with Non-legitimate CoolRunners. I've never had problems. Works fine as ****.

No, they work perfectly fine, you must just be doing something wrong. Either wiring/soldering on wrong point or its your timing files & stuff, just mess with settings
