I know, macs aren't for gaming. BUT for my uses it works perfectly. It runs mine craft, MW2, and COD 4 perfectly w/ no lag whatsoever. So if you are wondering, MacBooks are perfect for light gaming and video editing in my opinion.

Well it would run minecraft and stuff.

Its built for good video editing and rendering. To do that it needs a good graphic card and processor (so dos gaming) To render the videos faster its going to need good ram. (so dos gaming)

It will run games fine.
Windows is a faster os tho witch is why gaming pc's have it

Pfft, I would expect it to run games like MC and old stuff with the amount of money I have to put into it. I am not spending any money like that for performance that equates to utter shit. I'm sorry but thats the truth. Mac may be clean, and "Hipster" but it will never, ever beat a PC in a race.

Uhm, no. Windows is not a "faster" OS. Mac OS X is much faster as an OS itself. The reason people don't game on macs is because A. They cost a lot of money and B. Many companies don't port their games over to be playable on OS X.

For the money you pay, if you're looking to game, yes, you will get farther with a PC. For people that are already stuck with Macs, this is a good post.

Did you forget they can't actually handle bigger games? With a lot if not all macs, you can't interchange parts. Macs are shit compared for gaming compared to Windows.

Now, I am also going to state something here as-well with my time with both systems (PC & Mac)

PC's are more accessible because of the Price. I can build a pretty nice beast for around $1000 that will render like a champ and will game like a charm. Also with Windows 8.1 installed the OS will boot easily (Mine is around 5 seconds to boot, and 20 seconds to start applications and do a heavy load of applications) and run perfectly. My PC would kill a mac, but I also invested much into my PC.

Mac's are nice looking, and may have some nice "Metal" bodies and designs, and some would say for video editing and rendering they are the best, are wrong. If you are buying a Mac just for those two things you are wasting money. Get a PC built for you that will render x6 faster and allow for more functions. Mac's run most games on what OS again? Oh yeah WINDOWS. Using bootcamp (Which most people do) allow for macs to game. Without windows goodluck playing some new games (Even if you could).

Macs are money falling out of my pocket with me not caring.

My PC holds my money, and makes it worth more and more every day.

I work an build pc's and have repaired macs.
Alot of macs run quicker because they are fitted with better parts.

If you had a mac and pc with the same specs and clean os's the pc will be faster.
