ive been watching this link
done everything he said but when i plug my usb into the xbox i dont get the pop up for the updat ive tried changeing the name of the folder like he said
the only thing i think that could be wrong is the dash im now on is 16547 but the folder download is this : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
and if it is that i need the download for the $systemupdate
can anyone tell me where to get it

Avatar updates are okay to download. They won't f*** your console. Only Dash updates are the ones you have to really look out for.

That is for dash 16756 if the name of the rar file in the picture is correct.
If you are on a lower dashboard and apply that update it could mess up your console.
You can download the correct update for your dashboard [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .
After you download the correct update extract the $systemupdate folder from the ZIP/RAR file.
Then copy that folder to the root of a USB that is formatted to FAT32.
If you have No Updater enabled in DashLaunch then rename the folder to $$ystemUpdate
Boot up your xbox and go to the retail dashboard (hold RB when going to dash), then plug in the USB.
Within a few seconds you should get a prompt to update.
IMPORTANT!!!!
If you see this, you should be ok to update.
But if you see this, DO NOT ACCEPT!!!
