Gather close friends and family, Stock up on food water medication and weponry in the first few weeks, fortify my house, board up windows reinforce doors and create a little perimiter fence arround my house with metal stakes etc.

I would try to find a roof like a mall roof or something like that.

Possibly Get on a boat and sail out to a deserted island obviously after getting essential things like a tooth brush and that. I would have to obviously have to stock up on a ridiculously amount of water and than fish for food. But it possibly wouldn't be as simple and easy as that since there will be zombies and a lot of people panicking so anything could go wrong.

I would go to the closest military base in my area, which is pretty close. If the military base is already taken over by zombies, I'd just go to my highschool and barricade everything on the first floor and create a secure entrance to enter/exit. Of course I don't plan on doing that solo, gonna have a large group mostly containing family/friends.

I've been scrolling through the pages reading the comments as I find it entertaining, and on every single one I see you downvoting them.

First of all i want to point out to all the people saying that they would hide / set up camp in a big supermarket, bad idea. Sure go to that first collect supplies and leave but not set up camp. As a popular point and with people in need, people will do anything for food. Even kill so to set up camp in a supermarket would make you prime targets. Plus densely populated areas lead to more zombies.

Anyway to what i would do: Well i believe it could happen. No one else in my family does but i have most of it planned out. First of all i would gather food from a major supermarket then leave. Next i would get as many CLOSE friends as possible to join with. More people for safety.

Next as I'm in the airsoft business and my brother and i are airsoft engineers, we have found a way to convert airsoft guns to fire full metal bull barings. Most guns are illegal in the UK so this would be our way of getting weapons. And we have a lot of them!

After getting food and weapons i would head to the woods near me. In the middle there is an open area so we can set up camp there and last some time. With enough people keeping watch each night. There are no people about so zombies should be pretty low.

We then hide out there until there is a defined place that is safe. Maybe the army have set it up or something. But even still i wouldn't stay there. I would use it as a way to stock up on supplies. Because if something went wrong it would be a blood bath.

So yeh thats pretty much how i would try survive for as long as possible. Of course i doubt it would go as smoothly but its my plan

Hahaha thanks, i could go on and on but would take too long to type But yeh iv pretty much got it sorted

(Also another point with regards to people finding roofs. Although it may seem like a good idea, if you only have the one entrance or exit this could present a problem of where to run if they break through. Best to have a ground level safe house or if you are in a roof, have one area that is exit only and cannot be used as an entrance so zombies can't break though. )

I would defend of in a food store what better to do and after a while I would start trekking and finding survivors
