I am on Windows Vista and looking to update i'm looking to update to Windows 7 but a friend told me about something called Zorin OS. He says its better then Windows. What i wanted to know is should i have Zorin OS or Windows 7.

How would i know if my PC can install Zorin OS?

IDK man, after looking it up, it looks kind of like Windows 7. I wouldn't use it because you might not get the same things from it as Windows 7 offers. Some programs might not work correctly. I would just go with windows because it is the biggest OS.

It's just a Linux distro and if you want Windows, get Windows. I encourage people to use Linux if they like it, but what he means by "better" is that he likes it more. I personally wouldn't touch Zorin because it's not what I want in a distro, but almost all distros are free, so you may as well try them.

Ubuntu and Mint are generally recommended to people who are new to Linux. There's always the chance that some of your hardware may not be compatible with the distro you install, but Google searches can ALMOST always solve your problems. Whether your hardware will have issues is unpredictable.
