Okay my friend told me that I should change the MOBO and PSU on the build I may get ina few weeks for my Bday. I was gonna try overclocking as well but heard you couldn't overclock with that MOBO? Also said that the PSU wasn't to good? Here is the current build that is from a budget of $600. I don't really trust him anyway just making sure..

and no this is not from lel
Also I'll only be playing things like far cry, bf4 and cod4 mods not some extreme games at ultra

To start, the PSU is absolutely fine.
As for overclocking, I am pretty sure you could overclock with that board, with that said however it is a fairly cheap board and could use an upgrade in the future.
If you are looking at other things for your birthday, then just get that because an upgrade isn't needed unless you feel yourself that your PC is lacking the performance you need.

Both are fine, especially the PSU - it's good.
The motherboard is also great, if you're not planning on running it balls-to-the-walls.

I wouldn't overclock on that board at all.

I know people who've pushed nice overclocks on that board so don't worry. That PSU might be okay but i would feel more comfortable with a different one.

Terrabytez wrote I wouldn't overclock on that board at all.
Why not? Scared about the chipset or something?

I've gotten my friend's 6300 to 4GHz on that board with absolutely no problems. You could push for 4.2 if you really wanted to.
The build is fine, your friend is a muppet.
