The dark web is pretty much summed up as a place where criminals roam. On the dark web you can find drug markets/ gun markets/ credit card salesmen/ fraud/ explosives/ guides, example: how to make bombs/ scams/ stolen goods and hackers. The thing that brought me into this dark web was the encryption they interested me because the dark web is used in many ways but the most interesting way i learned so far was ransom money. When a hacker gets into your computer he will try to find the best files, the most personal files. Then he will encrypt them with a key and make you pay to have them unlocked . The usual payment method is Bitcoins, Bitcoins or BTC is an encrypted currency ( encrypted coded so it cannot be traced) that is very popular on the online markets. once the payment is sent to the hacker the files are released this makes up for a multi million dollar a year operation. One of these programs hackers use is called blackshades.

lol.
The 'Dark Web' was so overrated on TTG a few years ago. I stopped using it after the shutdown of Silk Road, but it still stands as it will always. There is nothing illegal about accessing the deep web, however it is illegal to own and distribute child porn, and buy fake id's and certain drugs. If you have common sense, there is really nothing to be scared of about the deep web.
