basically been playing cod 4 for like 1hr i get off it and then i come back on and try and join a game and it trys to join it then i get a black screen and then it says "DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the readme for possible solutions" help please thank you

Are you sure your PC meets the minimum system requirements for the game as my friend had the same error message and then he realised that he didn't meet the minimum CPU and GPU?
If that's not the case then try checking and making sure that you have the newest version of DirectX installed and that your graphics card drivers are all up to date

my processor is AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 245 Processor and btw this game was working yesterday fine i dont know now

cod4 can run on a cell phone to be honest. Specs are not an issue.
