Hello TTG it's krypt here and I have a problem.
I got a computer from my step fathers dad and it won't boot up.
The pc only powers on no screen and flashes hd and drive light together in increments of 3 sec.
Inside the pc it ticks 2 times every 4 sec and does that with the CPU fan spinning as usuall. And to tell I have never seen this PC on before.
It's a Acer power series
Acre power FH with a Insyde bios and no Idea what motherboard but this 946GZT-AM v 1.0

With a Intel Celeron D 3.2GHZ CPU
Don't know graphics it's on board.
Don't know sound card.
Telephone pci card
80gb WD hard drive
512 Ram

I am just wondering if its a motherboard problem or a CPU problem I have tested the ram and psu in other pcs and they work I'm just hoping anyone can give me some help if you need any info plz ask.

Start your computer with essential hardware only. The purpose here is to remove as much hardware as possible while still maintaining your PC's ability to power on.

If your computer starts normally with only essential hardware installed, proceed to Step 11.
If your computer still isn't displaying anything on your monitor.Reset everything possible inside your PC. Reseating will reestablish the various connections inside your computer and is very often a "magic" fix to problems like this one.

Make sure it isn't the display too.
