Would you happen to know how to get the update to come up? My jtag is currently banned, but when i had logon all set up it came up with the avatar update even though i wasnt connected to xbox live. I had logon set up when my jtag was already console banned, but the update still appeared

download the latest update from Xbox.com and place it on a USB per the instructions on the site. Do a google search for "update xbox 360 via usb" and it'll be the top result.

that contains the full update as well, but it also contains just the avatar update. If you are already on 16756 then you'll only be prompted to install the avatar data.

I placed it on the USB and nothing is popping up for an update, and im more than sure that i didnt click update when it asked me too

You have dashlaunch running?

If so, you need to rename the folder from "$systemupdate" to "$$ystemupdate" otherwise dashlaunch won't let it run

I did that and it didn't work, I'm just going to assume I already have the avatar update, I guess the laser on the jtag is shot. That's just wonderful
