It was probably just a group of eco-mentalists, trying to get America to stop wars/getting involved in conflict.. the white flag is the 'truce' or 'ceasefire' flag so it could either be a plea from these eco-mentalists or from Palestinians, to try and get the US to negotiate a ceasefire over in Israel.

I find this extremely disrespectful to our country and the men.women who died to have that flag flying there. For some "kids" to just think its okay to paint it white is sickening.
