i'm not to sure if this would be the right section to post this in but if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. I have bought a ps3 and the **** ripped me off,i turn it on and it's a blue screen with a lot of diff languages, and towards the middle it says in english,"settings information corrupt." i read that if i put the hdd in a working ps3 i can reformat the hdd, but i dont want to mess up my ps3 that is good. Anyone that could help would be greatly appreciated. i posted this in the general gaming forum as well i really could use some help. PLEASE

For the recovery menu:
I COPIED THIS
1. Turn off Playstation3.
2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
Restore default settings.
Or rebuild data base.
Or restore file system NOT RESTORE PS3.
If all fails restore Ps3.
Still not working replace HDD as Island time stated.
