Well if this is your first tattoo then get something what means a lot to you like for a example my first tattoo was my grans name with a little design what a friend sketched for me and I got that ad she passed away and she ment a lot to me, but the tattoo what is in your post looks amazing and if it what you really want then get it but with a little more colour.

If you want additional ideas, I'd have to recommend going to the Tattoo subreddit, on Reddit. There are so many neat and interesting designs there and I'm sure it will inspire a few ideas to bounce in your mind. Good luck.
