I need to know what I need to do or upgrade to get better FPS. I play GTA IV PC, and I get 45-50 fps with my specs. I try to record with Bandicam, and I lose half of the FPS. I have tried Fraps, ShadowPlay, and Dxtory, and they make it worse. I have also tried closing out of everything that's not in use, and I have set my Priority on High, with Power Performance on High Performance Anyone help is appreciated. Thanks
MY SPECS
CPU: AMD FX 4350 4.6ghz
GPU: GTX 760 2gb Superclocked, and Overclocked with MSI Afterburner
RAM: 8GB Corsair Ballistix Sports Ram
HDD: 1TB 7200RPM Hitachi Hard Drive
Windows 7

Try Mirillis Action for recording, it doesn't slow games down much when I use it.

Action is a good program to record with, it's really lightweight and doesn't stress the system much.

But my specs were fine because someone said to upgrade my processor to an 8 core, and someone else said to get 16gbs of ram

You don't need more ram, sure a more powerful processor might help, just try using Action first then see if you don't see any improvment think about upgrading your cpu.

Very true, I use this when recording and what not and I see little to no reduction in games when I am using it and what not.

Press your windows key on your keyboard and when the Window comes up search for
"Adjust the appearance and performance of windows"
When the Window comes up click on the button "Adjust for best Performance"
Then hit apply.

Fraps?
Just lower all the settings is the best advice next to upgrading your system,
Also end tasks such as skype on steam if you're not using them,

Thanks for the responses everyone! I have tried Action, and I lose the same amount of fps I would with Bandicam. I have also tried adjusting for performance, and It's running the same. I am thinking it has to do with my processor, my ram, or my Hard Drive, and the writing speed of it. It's really weird because my friends have the same settings as me with Bandicam, and they don't lose any frames at all.
