ImBruces wrote I have the receiver, my controller is xbox 360...

If you have Windows 8, the drivers dont automatically install, what you need to do is go to Device Manger and there with be an Unknown device listed there with a Yellow Exclamation mark, If you do not know which device it is, simply unplug the USB receiver and it will disappear.

Once you have found out which device it is right click it and click "Update Driver Software" then "Browse my Computer for Driver Software" then "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" Scroll to the bottom of the list and click Xbox 360 Peripherals. Press Next and it will install the driver to that Device. Then simply press the button on the controller and receiver to pair them.

There should be a program on your computer where you can just set it up

It should be in your control panel
