The Rays got Price stolen from them. I was expecting a blockbuster trade and this was anything but. The Rays got Smyly, Franklin, and Adames, all good prospects don't get me wrong, but they could have gotten a lot more. The Mariners got Austin Jackson and the Tigers of course got Price. The Mariners got the right handed power hitter they wanted with Jackson and the Tigers got the ace to make their rotation just as good as the A's, but the Rays got the short end of the stick. If you look at the Lester trade, the Red Sox got Cespedes. He has something going for him! All these other prospects you cannot guarantee anything. I do agree with the Rays choice to shop him though, he plays once every five days, and the winning streak they were on was just not because of Price. They got the players to help them, but I just think they could have gotten more from another team.

Yes the Tigers got a good trade out of this but at the same time you have to look at how much of a loss the Rays took dealing out their best player on the team for 3 younger players that do have talent don't get me wrong but are not as good as Price on a professional level. The Rays got Price stolen from them

I'm a Tigers fan so it's a good trade in my opinion.
