Yesterday i rang the fire brigade because my neighbour had their alarm on really loud and i could hear it all through my house and i thought it was the fire alarm so i called them and told them that it would be great if they could just check if their house wasnt on fire and then the came checked, it was fine and then left Then the police have just been around my house saying that they need my mum to contact them? I emailed and asked why but they said they arent in the position to tell me why?

Does anyone know why they would be asking for my mum to contact them and not me? Or what they could possibly want?

This is the UK by the way.

Thanks

From the fact they are asking for your parents contact, I'm guessing you are under 18. It's probably just to make sure it wasn't a hox and there alarm was going off.

Wasting police/any emergency service time is an offence, if you aren't of age your parent/guardian will be contacted regarding it, if she tells them it was genuine and you were worried for their safety you should be good.

If you have any kind of special erbs or anything like that wink wink might wanna dispose them asap before they come to your house to talk or y'all are going to have to go to the police station bc they don't like talking over the phone especially when it involves juveniles .

Oh wow, if thats the fact then i could have been fined for saving my neighbours life?

and hopfully if it is they dont do anything about it, bit stupid since the fire station is literally 5 minutes away.

Thanks

Unlucky for some because I know why they might want your mum for the police suppose and not you. I think that you have wasted there time so the Police wants your mum's details so your mum and the Police can talk. I think your going to have to pay a fix penality short notice. Like 40 - 100 Depends how long they have wasted their own time for nothing. Sorry to break the news to you, but I truely think that's what going to happen to you.

That is the biggest crock in my opinion. Emergency services wonder why they don't get called sooner when something happens, but apparently if you call them to soon you get a fine. So if I see someone get shot, I should probably wait for their to be a pool of blood so I don't get fined for "wasting their time." That is such a flaw. (Yes, that was an exaggeration, but you get the point.)

I feel you, thats so true i was thinking before like next time theres an emergency ill just wait until theres actual evidence like everyone house down the street in now on fire or someone dead body has decomposed and sunk into the ground XD
