Ok so Wednesday just gone i passed my driving test first time. Heres the thing though i am currently looking for a 1.0L car because the insurance costs too much for anything more. When i finally get a car i am worried that i will be nervous driving on my own since i am used to having an instructor next to me. Is there any tips you all have?
Got 4 minors, 1 was for show me tell me, 1 was for observation on my 3 point turn, other 2 was for driving slowly.

Well are you nervous because you're afraid of driving itself or are you nervous because you won't have company?
If you're nervous of driving itself, just bring a friend to get used to things and have him check corners with you to make sure you can do everything. You only gain confidence by doing it. If you're afraid of nobody talking to you, music helps.

I recently passed with 3 minors 2nd time and want to get a car, its cheaper to pay yearly than monthly with my insurance quote by like 600 which is good and it was like 1700 for a 05 ford fiesta, you should want to be on the road straight away! xD dude, i still feel like i cant drive and will crash, the 2nd lesson before my test he had to slam on the brakes at traffic lights as they went on red as I was half way through waiting to turn and I went to go where another car left was on green and went to go, was awkaward :L. You'll be fine on the road, just remember to get your P's and this is when you really start to drive xD

I Passed with 1 minor over a year ago but once you get out yourself, sure the first couple of drives will e very weird but the more you drive yourself the more you'll be confident.
I've had my licence a year and I'm already driving HGV's.
It just takes time.
Also I would recommend Peugeot 206/207, lovely first cars, fast enough and good on fuel.

I past with only two minors first time about 18 months ago.
It was strange at first going out on your own without your instructor but you will get used to it very quickly to be honest.
If you're a bit nervous perhaps you could go out with a family member or friend who drives a few times to build up your confidence.

Well when i passed. It felt really weird driving on my own. And tbh, it was quite scary, to tell the truth, i was shaking a bit lol. But it went away within a matter of days as i got the confidence to drive on my own. If you feel like you need someone to be in the car with you, go for it. But at some point, you are going to be on your own. But the more your on your own in your car, i suppose the better it will be for you as you will start to gain confidence.

im starting my driving lessons in about a week or two
what my friends sister was doing was going out with her mum when she drove somewhere and her mum gave her advice on what she needed to be doing to make sure she felt confident enough to go out on the road by her self and after about 3 short journeys with her mum in the car she felt fine and felt confident to be in the car alone

I was never really nervous though driving alone but you could try just driving round by where you live as practice maybe get a friend with you if you feel it will relax you
