Pics or it didn't happen. You'd be better off seeing reviews and benchmarks for making your GPU decision, however dual 270X's already offer a lot of power for the money and if you'd rather have two cards then go for it.

As for the GPU situation, I think having two cards looks epic, but the problems that can occur suck. However, it is better to have one more powerful card than two less powerful cards.

I'd say go with whatever works out to be the cheaper option, you also better have bought a 1080p monitor by now.

Ok here is my 2 cents on both options

880:
When this card drops it is going to be a powerhouse. Top of the line and is going to have the power to run a 4k at 50-60 fps maxed out. I personally am running 2 780s in SLI and even these can run 4k at 45-50 fps. IMHO i would wait until the 880 comes out to make my computer as future proof as possible. But I understand that there is no release date yet and no price point but I personally believe that going for a single card setup is a much more efficient and stable option than a multi card setup.

R9 270x Scrossfire:
OK so this card is at about the pinnacle of its prime at this point. Here is a comparison to the already released 780: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] As far as Crossfire goes there are some pros and cons to it. Most people expect that strapping two cards together will net you double the performance, but this is not the case in most scenarios. SLI and Crossfire both are not perfect systems. The gains you should expect to achieve from 270x in CF should be no more than 40% in most games. Making the total investment in a second card not worth it IMHO.

Breakdown TLDR:
880 is going to be a beast but you have to wait, 270x Crossfire is good now but not later. TBH both of the cards are complete overkill for gaming at 1080p, you will be pushing 120fps in everything you play on highest settings which is useless implying that your monitor is probably going to be running at 60hz.

What I would do:
Buy a EVGA Titan now,or wait for the 880. wouldnt do a crossfire setup or SLI unless I had to. But honestly if you dont expect to be gaming in 4k I wouldnt waste the extra capital on something you will never use to its full potential.
