Hey guys, im looking to build a new pc and sell my current one, in order to make my mother happy it has to stay under $800, or $700 if you use the superclocked gtx 750 from evga (already have it but can return it). I want the emphasis to be on the CPU and GPU, 8gb ram is fine, must have an OS, using it for gaming, want higher frames and to be able to run games very smoothly.

In the past 2 days, you have made 5 threads in this section. Each of which was regarding your old PC(either selling or upgrading it) and/or you wanting to build a new PC. I've tried continuously to help you but it seems like you're just not taking the information in. What I don't understand is how you were looking to upgrade your old GPU to a GTX 760 and then claim you bought a GTX 750. Your budget started at $900, then you reduced it to $700 since you already had a GPU. Then after I supplied you with a perfectly good build for $700, you completely disregarded my post and asked about a $550 build you threw together. Now you're budget is $700-$800?

If you want help, we need a serious budget and requirements. Are you upgrading your old PC or not? Do you have money for a new build? Is there any need for you to pay for your OS? You could get a much better build if you get the OS for free. If you decide you want a build and you do actually have the money, as well as a specific budget, I will help you out. However, I seriously recommend you return the GTX 750 because you can get much more performance with your budget than a GTX 750.

This is my serious post. I have received permission to sell my alienware on ebay. I am building a new one. I understand you are frustrated with all the changes, but I am trying to be certain of my decision before spending all this money. I have laid out my final guidelines in this thread, I would much rather purchase an OS as it will be more reliable and I also do not know where to get a free OS that is trusted. Also, I have looked at Neweggs return policy and i can get a refund, so i will accept either way (GTX 750 or return that and upgrade) and in regards to the 750/760 mixup i had purchased the 750 but mistyped 760 on the forum post.

I'm not particularly "frustrated", I just don't like my time being wasted when I try to assist people. If the money you make from selling your alienware is your budget for your new PC, then you don't have a budget. Wait until you sell the alienware and then come back and ask for a build and give us your budget then. There's absolutely no reason to suggest an authentic copy of Windows is more reliable than an illegitimate copy. Return the GTX 750, trust me. Now, assuming you have the money for your PC already and you return the GTX 750, that would put you at around $800, right? If so, this is the build for you;

additionally, i have no problem getting a free OS if you can tell me where to find a trusted one and how to get it onto the new pc, another question, if i buy a new HDD and swap it with the one in my current pc, will there be an issue putting it into the new one?

It's not the worst case I've seen. I suppose it's better than a lot of other cases on the market. It's you that has to look at the case every day so in the end, get something you like. The NZXT Phantom 410 is a $100 case and it seems like you want a black/orange case. For an extra $7, you could get an NZXT H440 in orange/black.

Trust me, you will want a case with good cable management and you shouldn't get something too "flashy". I spent £45 on a case once because I thought it look "cool" and "flashy" and I stuck a bunch of stupid LED fans in there. Big mistake. If you prefer the Phantom 410, I don't see any real issue for you.

The H440 is a mid-sized tower. The full size version is the H630.
