You say you have no girlfriend so you won't break any hearts, you have to think about your mum and your dad, just because you do not have a girlfriend it doesn't mean that your not loved, and you won't break anyone's heart.
I'm not saying it will go wrong but if something did happen your parents would be devastated, so my best advice is to trust your instinct, do you want to do it because your grandfather did it or do you just wanna do for fun, if i was you i would rather stay at home with family. However that's just my opinion.

To be honest, wanting to continue your family legacy is the most admirable thing I have heard in a long time. A lot of families in these modern times drop traditions in exchange for conforming to "the normal, modern life" and I'm glad you want to carry the torch on. Go for it. You won't regret it and will inspire future generations ahead.

All I can say is that you just have to go with what you think is right.. Always remember that once you enroll into the army, you cannot leave until your term is up!

Ais wroteIts a lot of money and my parents dont want me to i wanna go to the army cuz my grandfather and great grandfather were and i wanna carry the pass on and my brothers dont want me to im just like i have nothing to lose anyways No girlfriend so wont be breaking anyones heart.. But i am in fit for military training and have bin training for about 3 years im 16 and i wanna go do whats best for myself i just dont know
It's your choice unltimatly. When you say "... i have nothing to loose anyways" i don't think that's true at all. I mean family, friends ect but im sure if you set your heart on that then that's all that matters, it's them that have to adapt to your choices, not the other way around.

You'll need to take a hard think about it, if you where to go and do extremely well and be one of the many to be shipped out your parents would be very scared for you.
Have a long talk with your parents and tell them you want to carry on your grandfathers role.

Aren't there Military schools for free? I mean I don't think they all cost a lot of money like college.

It's your life man, and if you truly want to go into the military then by all means do it.
