My first attempt at creating a website mockup, need to learn how to code it into a working site, but still, opinions would be appreciated?

Its okay, nothing special sorry to say. Its a nice idea but needs some touch ups.

Firstly the multi coloured logo thing is too prominent at the top of the page. Make it smaller and less in your face. Even though its a logo it does overpower the rest of the design.

Secondly the icons for your navigation are far to big. Same applies for the font that you have used in the nav bar. just make them a little smaller and see what you get

Finally you need to make sure everything is centre lined. Look at the arrow which is next to the social icons. Doesn't look right.

Things i do like about it - its a nice colour scheme, and you have kept constant thoughtout. But yeh like i said its a nice idea but needs some work.

Definitely what Mozo said. Other than that, I like it too.

Cheers for the feedback, i agree with the logo point, and also with the text being too large on the headers, inside photoshop it looked much smaller in comparison with the rest of the image. Ill go back and change it to a smaller size. The arrow was actually meant to be off centre, i wanted it to point to the youtube icon as it was a link to my youtube page, but i guess it does look a little odd.

This isn't even a website design....

It has nothing reminiscent of a website...

Completely agree. This looks (very very loosely) close to a tablet layout that wasn't designed well.

My opinion it looks nice. Although I think you should box in the words ex; Contact Me, My work, etc.

Everything is too big for a website design.
If you think of it on your screen, that would all be massive.

The icons on the header are too big.
And the Home one could use a bit of work.
I'd suggest making them a lot smaller, and placing them above the text.
Instead of having the text sitting on them.

The text in the header should be a bit smaller, too.
I would raise it up a bit away from the image below it as well.
You can;t tell which page you are on.
Try either Bolding, Coloring, or Underlining "Home" if it's on the home page.

The whole design is dark, and gray, then you have this patch of color in the header.
It does not suit it very well.
Try adding more color into the rest, or removing that color.

The social icons opacity is too low. You can see the horizontal line going through them.
If you don't want them so bright, mess with the saturation.

The arrow in the circle below the social icons would look better if the thickness was the same as the outline of the circle.
And also if it was centered...

I can also see you drew inspiration from my thread design.

Cheers for the advice, completely agree with pretty much everything you've said, gah, didn't even notice there were so many flaws until people pointed them out. Back to the drawing board i shall go.
