This isn't a rant, this is a general question. Why do people use OG for names and gamertags? because OG means original gangster? or ocean grown? and OG also stands for weed? this has been really confusing me and I wanna know if it has a different meaning for this site.

The one meaning you are looking for is 'Original Gamertag'

They looks nice, something like XOJoshyBoiiXo

You'd prefer something like, 'James', 'Alive'

Alive would be nice.

Yes I did use it, but as Adapter posted up above it has another use that I didn't know about. I just told him that it was OG because he put it in the title. But I knew it meant Original Gangster but I googled it and got more results then posted this asking why!

Referring to an OG name is just an original name. But when people have their name as something like OG RapidzZ, that's different.

If you had read the post properly then you would see that ArschFarma was wondering
why people used this so called OG in different terms.
