just upgrading my cpu and motherboard and ids say about 250 pounds, just the cheapest but the best?

All you could ever want in an 1150 board. Cheapest option with SLI support.

The one I suggested has the 9-series chipset, which has a few more features, and it supports SLI. You're being very vague and there's a reason I asked for more info. Will you be overclocking?
