What's your reasoning behind that?

I chose the motherboard because: Asus. I'm a fanboy, and I swear by both the warranty and the durability (also ROG, tid-bits and whatnot)

H100i: bargain water, why not?

Case: Disputably one of the best premium price/performance ratio cases

This also has to court my 310mm GPU.

If you need to fulfill your fanboy needs, you can go with this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] The MSI motherboard I provided is better, though.

I think is safe to assume that you're a Corsair fanboy too? Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if Corsair and Asus had a partnership or something... Anyways, The reasons would be; Is that the h100i is refurbished which is a no, at least for me and my past experiences. The h100i also outperforms the PH-TC14PE by little, but the noise levels are a lot higher.
The ARC Mini R2 can fit both coolers and a GPU up to 400mm length long. The build is also mATX sized which is more convenient, unless you're going to doing quad X-fire/SLI with a custom loop.

Nevermind about the cooler, I just read "Haircomb Vengeance". That RAM is to tall to fit under the PH-TC14PE, unless you're willing to remove the heat spreaders. (Which would void your RAM's warranty.) Go for the H100i.

What makes the board better?

Compared to the Ranger, if you will

It doesn't really have anything that makes it better, It just serves the same function for a lesser price.

If is ATX sized, I would go for one of these:

unless you will be using all of the features of the Rog mobo, it is a waste if money. What is the point if buying it if your not going to use it's full potential? You may as well get a cheaper mobo and a better case or a better keyboard.

What more could you want?

PS: Not all Xeon chips are server grade... This just a dumped i7 4770 with no iGPU...

I will be using it to its full potential.

I also really like the colour scheme and waived the opportunity to get a Maximus Rampage a while ago for a ridiculous price
