Honestly, with a budget that large, you should be going with an Intel build. Nice keyboard btw, I'm looking at getting the same one, just haven't plucked up the courage to spend my savings yet.

If you don't want to overclock that CPU, change it to a 4590 and save around $30. The 4590/4690(k) are fantastic CPU's and will do you well. The R9 270 can be overclocked to the standards of the R9 270X.

However, if you prefer a build with a more powerful GPU, you could go with this;

The R9 280X is a much more powerful card than the R9 270. That Pentium is a beast, it can be overclocked to an i7's standards in many games. It would be pointless to have that Pentium and not overclock it though so if you aren't comfortable with overclocking, don't get that build. With this build, you can easily upgrade to an i5/i7 if, and when you please which would cost less than upgrading your GPU if you went with the first build. I'd recommend an aftermarket CPU cooler if you decide to overclock either build but with the Pentium, it's not really necessary in some cases.

I'm considering this option more than the others as of now. So I'm assuming that if I DO decide to over clock, I don't need a CPU cooler, but it's recommended? If I don't need it I probably won't get it just to save money. But what about the cores of the processor? I don't know a whole lot about computer parts but from what I've heard the more cores the better as newer games come out they require more cores? Not really sure if what I heard was true.

The Pentium is great at overclocking, even on the stock cooler.

This is my build suggestion, you lose the overclocking ability but gain the better graphics card. Also as far as cores go, that four in any i5 are sufficient for any current games.
