Synopsis:
Labyrinth/Marble Madness hybrid with a unique platform twist, based on the Sega arcade game of the same name. Players control not a character, but tilt the entire environment to guide their "monkey ball" to the goal. Super Monkey Ball's "Main Mode" is constructed of more than 110 different levels of various difficulty, most of them taken from the arcade game. Players begin their monkey adventure going through these different levels on various settings of difficulty. There are an initial 10 Beginner levels, 30 Advanced, and 50 Expert, as well as extra versions on top of it all. A smattering of multiplayer modes rounds off the package.

Story:
To this game, there really isn't much of a story. There's 3 different game types, Main, Party, and Mini games.
The point of the main game is to guide a monkey inside of a ball through a course to the goal. As the level increases the difficulty of the course also increases. while moving throughout the courses the player can collect bananas which will increase points as well as lives. 100 bananas = an extra life. there are also extra levels that can be achieved without losing a life throughout the Beginner, Advanced, and Master stages but the master is nearly impossible.

Gameplay: 9.5/10
Gameplay for this game for me was great, there isn't really a story to it but the game was well thought out and developed. The difficulty of the game increases as the player moves on throughout the game. The beginner stages were pretty easy I thought, but midway through the Advanced stages is when it began to get hard. I had a fun time playing this though, haven't played it since probably 2004 when i got a gamecube. there aren't many features to the game besides the Party games and Mini games.

Graphics: 8.6/10
Surprisingly to me for a 2001 game, the graphics were pretty good. I missed seeing graphics like this though, kinda made me reminisce on the GameCube days. But from what I was playing I didn't see any glitches at all. The graphics definitely fit the style of game.

Controls:10/10
The controls for this game are literally just the analog stick. Depending on if your controller is good or not that could have an impact on the gameplay.

Personal input:
For this game, I had a great time playing although when i was a kid i played through it multiple times. Definitely a challenge to get through a lot of the levels but it was a great play altogether, the SMB series was really good IMO.
