As a kid I used to play video games a lot and now I'm just bored of it. I rather go outside with my friends and hangout. Sometimes I just have those days and wish I could go back to my childhood days and not have played video games at all. I just feel like there is so much to do in life rather than spending time playing video games. Honestly, I feel like video games are a waste of time and restrain you from doing stuff you would like to do. Technology has become such a big part of our lives and because of this we are unable to see the bigger picture and uncover what life really has to offer. People nowadays rather facebook you than hangout with you, and rather text you all day instead of actually being with you. I am glad I realized that gaming will never have a place in my live and will not help me become successful and achieve my life goals before it was too late. Life is too short to spend it playing video games. Go out there and be someone, make a change! I am going away for college in a year and I am looking forward to meeting lots of new people. Also I am considering selling my xbox since there is no longer a use for it. Since I quit xbox, I have felt more significantly happy and realized how beautiful life really is. Idk guys, maybe i'm just chatting, but do you guys have the same perspective as me? Hopefully I at least made you think about if gaming is really worth it and if you should spend your time doing it. (I would love to get your input on this topic.)

P.S. I know I will probably get a lot of hate from those hardcore gamers out there.

Well, I would say it's both..

Like it's entertainment but at the same time it's a waist of time..

I like to play CoD but sometimes I play for hours and then I start to really regret spending so much time..

Well I guess I'll just sum it up why I play games..

I play games because they're fun and can make the day fly by too.
It does intertwine between both of what you stated though.
I mean what else would I do instead of game? ( I have other hobbies but I'm playing devils advocate)
Go outside? Tbh going outside isn't the greatest thing in the world, in fact it's quite annoying because of how boring and slow people are..
Sorry for the rant, I just hate people who tell someone to go get a life, ect..

Also, depending on perspective, anything can be considered a "waste of time".
For example, how is hanging out with friends so much better than entertaining your self with a story that can hit you right in the feels and make you question life?

I feel when you get older you lose more interest in video games but still play them time to time ;)

I love gaming but I can't stay on. After 1 hour my eyes are literally blood shot bad. I'm not sure what it is but I decided to stop as I don't think it was healthy

I have a job and go to school. Usually a late night after work, I'll usually chill and play xbox. But If I have a day off, I'll usually hang out with friends. I like to have something to fall onto If no one could hang out.
