I have power switch failure on my s3

the lock button no longer is a click to lock u can just slide ur finger over top
of it or when its in ur pocket it rubs against my pants and keeps turning on and off
any ideas on how to fix this?

The easiest way to fix it is to buy a new button mechanism, like this one [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , and float the old one off with a soldering iron. Clean up the contacts, add a little solder, and reattach all the legs and its good as new.

How did it get that way? Did you just use it a ton? You might just wanna upgrade to the s4 or mabye the s5. But if you are good with, phones and taking them apart and feel confident taking apart your phone then go ahead do what Ders said.
