I got an xbox one today and my controller keeps disconnecting. I am sitting less than 5 feet away so I am not far away at all. I tried new batteries and it still disconnects. The only way it works is if I use it with the USB cable. Please help

Try power cycling your Xbox One. You do that by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds.
