I want to bring you guys a sermon today about 40% of the population on TTG. I personally, like to call them "annoyances". These people are always watching the forum feed clicking EVERY single topic to make sure nothing is going against "site rules". When they find something they don't like, they say that its against "site rules" just to get another post point on their record. It happens to me all the time, and it gets really annoying. If you consider yourself one of these people, don't even talk to me.

The thing is, people who go around saying "this is against the rules" or "topic reported/move to (whatever section.)" normally lose that post count or will end up getting a warning. If the whole topic in general is against the rules/wrong place, staff members will eventually get around to closing, moving or deleting the topic or any posts inside that topic that are needed (such as flaming or mini-modding.) So chances are, if anyone is going around posting on topics saying that is needs to be closed, it's against the rules, anything like that, they're probably going to get those posts deleted and possibly a warning if they had kept it up and a staff member saw fit for it.

First off, if it happens to you all the time, that usually means that you are doing something that is against the rules and users are telling you that you are doing so.

Also, when users do this, THIS is also against the rules and you can report them as "mini-modding"

Secondly, and just because users go around on topics reporting the ones that are wrongful is not bad. It helps staff so much when users report things that are against the rules. They just do not like it when users try and act like a mod by telling the user that it is against the rules. That is staff's job.

I know what you mean and everything, but I just report it and move on. Not really worth my time to deal with it myself.

Just ignore it and report them. They will get warned by staff if they do it frequently.

Hypocrisy
hipkris/
noun
the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

Your definition of hypocrite is flawed. Care to explain how someone is a hypocrite because they post about someone saying/doing something against the rules?

Telling someone they are doing something wrong is against the rules.

For example:
Person 1: "You are doing something against the rules."
Person 2: "So are you, hypocrite."

Good point, completely forgot about the mini-modding rule. ;)

Just report them. There is really nothing else to do. They eventually will get a warning for reporting it to much, that means if you aren't breaking the rules

I'm too lazy to read what e other users posted but if they didn't say it I will. It's against the rules to mini mod which is telling people they are breaking the rules.

just report them
