can anyone give me a template for the ttg background or tell me the dimensions of it?

It depends with the screen size, Here's a list, It's all the screen templates that are big and small.

    1920x1000
    1600x833
    1400x729
    1280x667

I believe it is 1920x1080, but then again it might be the size of your monitor too, but to be safe do 1920x1080
