So i am building a pc with some parts i got from a buddy, the board i dont have a clue what it is the gfx card is a gt440, i have a 600w psu and a 1tb HDD, i have triple checked everything and the computer still has no output signal and im stumped. side note the case is very old and has few standoffs but when i put them in the screw hole spots like they should go it raises the motherboard to the point where the graphics card wont align correctly in the shell, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. will +rep as much as i can, thanks

UPDATE: have tried to remove everything from the shell and boot it, still has no output.
UPDATE2: it has booted but comes up with red text saying "fan has failed. prevent damage to the system. Continue" even though fan is working fine.
UPDATE3: boots to hp screen need to select OP system, but its still says the fan has failed even though it runs and kicks out air.
