Hey TTG!
So im currently studying business at school. We are just starting to brainstorm ideas, but im desperately in need of ideas. Here was my original idea:
Ok so i have a school project coming up. My idea is a website like this..
People post their speciality and expertise. Basically they need a job done, they search the seller marketplace and get someone to do it for a fee. On purchase there will be a service fee, and also a optional choice of a Shield (Buyer/Seller) protection just in case they get scammed or something then they're covered. Basically Selling/Trade of Virtual items. Don't know if anyone has heard of RatedPeople.com ,it'll be something like that but of course electronic.
Im not 100% sure if this is possible with the budget im working on. My budget is about 200 for everything so i am running a fairly low budget (School Terms) the idea is whoever earns the most in my class wins. So please people im in need of ideas! It will 99% be a website as i have expertise in this area and i feel this is our best option

Ill try help out I did business A-Level so i know a little
So im not sure what year your in so ill try keep the terminology light. So for starters you have a nice idea, but with what you plan to do you won't win. you will only really make money with that if your established and have a lot of people on the site which could take some time.
Secondly, a lot of websites these days are done as marketing tools instead of direct selling tool. Which i why i wouldn't necessarily make a website.
To make money you need to sell Fast Moving Consumer Goods, so basically something consumer able that people will repeat buy. So an example of this is food. Food is a "Need" and not a "Want" so people tend to purchase no matter of income.
As an idea, i would suggest selling a product, something thats quite smart, but could be bought for different reasons.
Idea off the top of my head:
So you know the fancy chocolates that people have at parties that are filled with fudge and vanilla essence etc Well you could go down that route. So My idea is a product called "Coco Creations" - Its essentially a party piece with fancy chocolates. Its a socialable activity and hasn't been done before to the older target market. So you yourself would create the shells of the chocolate and the filling and supply the filling in bags. Not massively sure how you would do that to sell on mass but it could be done. This could be sold as a party thing, a present or even just for a bit of fun.
