Xigma wrote I would get [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] motherboard which allows you to overclock the beast of a CPU for MOAR free performance. That was the only thing i was wondering about(Motherboard)
What do you think i will be able to get out of the CPU with the stock cooler? Or do you think and aftermarket is a must?

Its only a dual core so the heat output shouldn't be anything to worry about even with the stock cooler.
What giggyhertz you would get out of it I wouldn't know for the following reasons:
I've never played with one before [Soon I will be though...soon]
And it varies from chip to chip. The only way to find out is by doing it yourself.

Aw no I've decided to jump on the pentium hype after reading into it. Seen its an overclocking king so should be good for my first overclock. Gonna give it a light overclock though as technically it won't be my computer im just building it for a friend and would rather not have it blow up.

You wot m9? Overclocking on H81? Unless you are hoping on that workaround?
A simple BIOS update should do the trick.

I know I know...
Its a trade off which the OP will have to make. Better future expansion or overclocking.

B85 motherboard in a 500 quid build with a G3258 and a 280X? u wot?
Drop the 280X to a 280
Get a Z97 motherboard
Get a cheaper HDD (Toshiba or Hitachi one w.e is there)
XFX 450w PSU
Drop the ODD. You're havin' a giggle.
You may be able to squeeze in an aftermarket cooler to OC that badboy. With all that money saved I don't see why not.
