Timing out of server

I currently play on a server that my friend runs, it use to run fine, but now when I connect, I can't do anything, it times me out, I reconnect and there's a duplicate of me, and he keeps repeating. I know kyr sp33dy has a similar problem and I was wondering if there was a solution to this.

Mine does the same thing sometimes. Everyone tells me it's my internet... but idk. It only does it on the server I play on though.

I know there is currently a bug with the 1.8 protocol hack in spigot. not sure if that's what is causing it or not.
