I posted earlier and literate replied and had mentioned that ebola first showed up in Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo) in 1976, that interested me so i did a little research. Zaire was run by a man named Mobutu Sese Seko. He was backed heavily by the United states government because of his anti communist stance. The us government kept him in power and backed him with a lot of money, and as long as he stayed anti communist they didn't care what he did. He was a very harsh leader and killed many of the people that lived in his country that he felt negativity influenced their culture, Or just anyone he didnt really like. He was heartless, his people lived in extreme poverty and he lived a lavish life style. So is it all just a coincidence that this dictator that basically enacted genocide on his own people and had strong backing from the us government happened to be ruling Zaire when ebola first broke out???? I dont know about you but that just dosent sit well with me.

Unless there was some threat to his rule then there would be no reason to unleash e-bola on his people. You'd also need to look into the rulers before and after him to see if there was any drastic changes or a pattern which was disrupted.

I doubt they had the ability or money to do that in Congo at the time.
