Short and sweet.
I can't stand them, on any platform. If you have a diverse audience, provide experiences for both. This isn't necessarily about games being exclusive to a platform, but extra content.
I buy Xbox, for the exclusive games. I like fable, etc.

But I wouldn't buy PlayStation or PC because something is coming exclusive to the other that sounds cool.

Or a extra mission, or earlier dlc.

It's aggravating because it's obviously finished content, so it should be in the full game or I paid just as much as everyone else. Why should everyone be treated differently. It honestly just makes me lose respect for the company. AC4 had an extra mission, cod gets early dlc and destiny had something small. It's too common now.

I find it only aggravating when you get a game exclusive then the developer releases it to the public a few months later so you end up paying more just to play it early

Well, where as you would not switch consoles for a new game or a new exclusive, other users would and that is why they do it. Because, it increases their consoles sales.

Sony most likely paid Bungie more for extra content on the playstation ( woot I'm a playstation 4 player extra content for me bwahahhaa) yup pretty much like that.. - They pay extra for the extra content most likely.

Its all about the $$$. Microsoft/Sony will give extra $$$ to the developer to make extras on their console, and just on their new one. So BF has usually been with Microsoft because they give extras and DLCs come out a week or so earlier then PS4. But they will do this to raise console sales, which in terms brings more money to themselves.

Because developers and console manufacturers will receive just as much profit regardless.

No matter what you say, one game exclusive doesn't change sales. People may cite it as a reason, but the reality is people have many other reasons to buy such a game. But regardless, they'll make more money without exclusivity.

If games were on all platforms, or just the consoles and PC, as long as it was profitable that's 3x the market on one platform.

Releasing a dlc on all platforms, will increase sales. It's simple.
