Hey guys, I'm getting a new computer. My budget is $0-1550. I plan on getting this computer with these specs, but I want to know if it'll run games smoothly (40fps+) such as bf4 and Planetside 2 on ultra settings.

GPU: HIS IceQ x2 edition amd radeon r9 280x 3gb

i7 isn't necessary for gaming. Spend the extra money on a GPU.
I'd say something like -
That will get better performance in games as the CPU is perfect for gaming and the GPU is better which is what matters more.
I'd say something like -
- Intel Core i5-4670k
- Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler
- MSI Z87-G45 ATX Motherboard
- GeForce GTX 780 3GB
- Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM

Super unbalanced. A brand new i7? 8GB ram, lolwhut? The only reason to get an i7 over an i5 would be for editing/rendering purposes. If you needed an i7, then you'd benefit from 16GB RAM. Don't get an i5-4670k though. Get a 4690k instead, which is basically a 4670k with a slight performance increase and better temperatures for the same price. With the money saved, invest a little more into your GPU or anything else that might need some more money put into it.
What is your budget and currency? Do you need monitor, mouse, keyboard and/or OS?
