Hey guys just a question because I see loads of people saying they've been IP banned from xbl, so is it true? Do they IP ban you?

I, Myself have never heard of this.

They have either been console banned or their account has temporarily suspended or permanently banned.

console banned, not ip banned.

However in extreme measures, ip banning will be issued.

Ive been IP banned before, but it was for hacking. I took measures to prevent this but i failed. all my other console were unplugged so it did nothing, ordinarily it bans all other consoles on the IP . This only really happens to nodders, so if your just playing your fine.

Some people say this but imagine this...

SO University WIFI has the same Ip right? Say 40 people with XBOX's are connected one person running a JTAG / RGH. Would they IP ban him / her? That would include banning 39 others?

I have been IP banned from 2 flashed xbox's in the past, its the console IP they ban, not the network

no they only console ban you they do not ip ban you.

I was console banned a few days ago but not IP banned..
