Hey guys, I recently moved to Argentina and games here are pretty expensive for the Xbox 360, so I wanted to know if buying an Xk3y is worth the money...

I have an Xbox 360 Elite (Don't know what drive, it's one of the 2 Phillips), and I want to play .iso's online. The only reason I'm not flashing my drive or RGH'ing it is because I want to be able to play .iso's online without getting banned, and I heard that the xk3y is the only way to do this.

Can anybody with experience vouch this product/recommend something? Thanks!

Cleared up a lot of information, but still have some questions if somebody else can help.

I never heard about it until I read the link above, but what is a "dvd key"?

And also, what other things should I be worried about when I buy the xk3y? Do I just plug it in and start using, or do I need to open up my xbox/modifiy something on my system?

Using an xk3y actually carries more risk than flashing with iXtreme firmware.

Both flashing and using xk3y carry risks

But for ease of use i advise getting the xk3y over flashing your drive although it costs more its worth it in my opinion

Aslong as your games are stealthed you should be fine

Why would you say that? Do you have any experience with it?

Also, I would go with flashing because it's cheaper, but since I want to be able to play the games online, that's not an option.

And when I get the xk3y, do I have to configure anything on my Xbox or is it just plug in and use it? Do I have to open my Xbox up, etc.?

You can go online with a flashed xbox, I've been doing so for the past 4-5 years. Never had an issue before, even playing games several days before release, without ABGX verification, truncated disks, etc.

And sorry, I shouldn't have really compared the two as i've never owned an xk3y or equivalent. Been browsing several forums in the past and it's been mentioned that they're not completely safe. But like I said, i've never owned one so I couldn't tell you from personal experience.

That's great to hear. The xk3y seemed like my only option for going online, so it's nice to here I can go online with a flash. Is there a specific way you burn games/run special flash programs?

XGD3 games (later than 2010) will need to be burnt using an iHas 124b flashed with burnermax firmware (or equivalent, i've heard that you can also use some sony drives for this) so that the data can be burnt as close to the edge of the disc as possible (XGD3 iso size exceeds DVDs maximum capacity).

As for flashing, because you have an elite, see the below video (assuming you have a LiteOn drive):
