I can now open and play DayZ but all other games (Black Ops 2 and CS:GO) are not working because when I try to load them up I get this error message and I can't find a way around it.
I've tried, re-installing steam, re-installing the games, deleting the appcache, deleting all files so that steam can update itself from scratch, I've disabled my antivirus software and turned off my background programmes but it still doesn't work. If anybody has a way of fixing this it will be highly appreciated since I just bought Black Ops 2 today and I really want to crack on and start playing. Thanks to those in advance who try to help.

Weird errors like this occur within steam at times. I can imagine that the game ended up installing for you?
If it didn't then you should make a ticket with steam support and they will help you with this matter.

Installing what for me? I was going to go to steam support but the confirmation email isn't coming through.

Right click the game(s) that don't work, then click properties. Go over to local files, and verify integrity of game cache.
That may fix the game(s) you are having problems with, as it seems you are only having the problem with certain games.

I have tried this but I'll do it again now and then get back to you.
