Right now you cannot pre order CoD: AW on the X1 but expect next month for you to be able to. For instance with Forza Horizon 2 you can download the game now and then play it at 12:01 am on the day of launch. The same thing goes for FIFA 15.

Yeah this is true, not sure about AW yet but most likely, usually a few weeks before release they will give you the option for different, additions they did this with a few games like Destiny, Madden 15 and currently Forza Horizon 2. They'll probably do it for cod.

I pre-ordered the Digital version of destiny and I was able to download the game a few days before the official release date but couldn't play it.

I was able to play it at 2 AM my time (Central US) on September 9th. I'm sure it will work the same way with other games.

I did that with destiny not positive about AW

i Guess ill have to wait an see if you can do it. Main reason i want to know is because whenever i preorder stuff online it always comes late. and i don't really want to get the game 2 days late. so Hopefully sledgehammer or Activision or whoever decides, lets us download it early.

Most games let you pre-order it digitally and have it downloaded then let you play it 12:01 am day of the launch. I hope cod doesn't make us wait because with destiny I had to wait until 3am est.
