It would actually be considered an exploit, as you aren't supposed to be able to sit for hours, shooting at a cave getting loot. Will they patch it? Probably. Is it patched yet? No, but I have been getting a lot less engram drops lately, but that could just be my luck.

They aren't patching it. Bungie is getting rid of engram drops instead. No bs look it up.

that's fake they edited the text go to the Bungie website yourself, they wouldn't remove engrams

um actually this is a mmo game like runescape it's made for farming it's not a exploit I have a friend who plays all those games and he plays destiny he tells me this stuff also it's not like a gta money glitch u barely get legendarys and some rares and tons of uncommons

First of all, nobody types that way -- and Bungie has never addressed exploits in such an unprofessional and grammatically incorrect manor. Second of all, anyone with an simple Chrome or FireFox knowledge knows that's that it takes literally two seconds to right click > Inspect Element > *edit page text* and take a screen shot. That update isn't even cached, and you can't load into it at all on the site.

I don't see anything like what you posted. The latest update talked about Raids and removing majors from a couple missions, nothing about completely removing engram drops.

This is an exploit. It's not Bungie's intention for people to be "farming" like this. While farming is in this game, and you're supposed to do it, sitting behind a rock shooting in one place isn't how it's supposed to be and I imagine it will be patched soon.
