It would actually be considered an exploit, as you aren't supposed to be able to sit for hours, shooting at a cave getting loot. Will they patch it? Probably. Is it patched yet? No, but I have been getting a lot less engram drops lately, but that could just be my luck.
um actually this is a mmo game like runescape it's made for farming it's not a exploit I have a friend who plays all those games and he plays destiny he tells me this stuff also it's not like a gta money glitch u barely get legendarys and some rares and tons of uncommons

Farming would be like, for example -- completing a mission (Like Rooftop Rumble) or doing anything over and over again to gain exp, currency, gear etc. Exploiting (like in the loot cave scenario) would be trapping enemies in a spot and killing them for hours on end, getting an endless supply of ammo and loot drops. It's an exploit because Bungie didn't intentional put a "loot cave" in Destiny for you to sit at for hours getting loot, people just happened upon it and exploited it.

The difference between farming and exploiting:

Farming - Intentionally created by the developer and generally a normal activity which is completed repeatedly to get items in the game.

Exploiting - Taking advantage of something that was found in the game that was not intentionally added by the developer.

I HIGHLY doubt Bungie planned on having players stare at a cave for hours on end to get engrams, if you think differently, you obviously haven't played any MMOs.

But the loot cave isn't a mission, it's a spot on the planet where enemies endlessly spawn, and loot endlessly drops. That's a lot different from completing a mission with a set amount of enemies and repeating it over again.

u just said "a normal activity which is completed repeatedly to get items in the game. " u nd er farming so technicaly it's farming cause u repeat it and it's not like u do a money glitch in gta when u have to go to swap character etc this is farming not exploit

But killing enemies that DO NOT STOP SPAWNING is NOT a normal activity, and is therefore exploiting. The only reason Bungie has them spawn that way is so there's always Hive v Fallen fights in Skywatch, not for you to sit on a rock collecting loot for hours.

This is an exploit no matter what you say to disprove that.

Your logic is appalling, and your troll attempt is clear.

To everyone who says this isn't an exploit you are completely wrong. This game was made for you to farm yes, but not a spawn trap method like this where you can literally get any character to level 24-25 with no effort. I've gotten 8 Legendary engrams from doing this once, fair play? I think not, this game was intended for people to spend time building a team with communication to tear through strikes, raids, and the crucible on top of the countless other things you can do. If you have the time to use an exploit to sit there and gain items for doing little to nothing then you have the time to actually earn them. Also to the people who compare this method to similar methods used on games such a WoW, this game is simply not an MMO. Get over yourself, people on MMO's actually do high level dungeons/raids to get their "legendary" gear, they don't attack the same spawn of mobs that are 10+ levels below them to get said gear. You're arguments are invalid, please stop.
