Bitcoin sellers are everywhere, you can find hundreds on them on TOR but they wont accept payments like paypal. Stay away from eBay sellers as they have atleast a 50% markup on them.

I would wait a while if I were you. BTC's price dropped over $40 just yesterday, so it's a bit unstable at the moment. However, there are some sites in which you could buy BTC (usually only accept credit card).

Your best bet is going to an exchange. Bitpay, coinbase, BTC-e are all reputable exchanges. You will have to input your bank information and do some extensive verification processes though. And you probably do want to buy them now. The prices dropped so you can get them cheaper than you would at another time (most likely unless the prices dropped once more).
