jesse77 wrote I found an 07 blacked out scion tc with 65k miles for 7k. Clean and clear title I'm pretty sure that's what I'll get this weekend.
Since some of the cars you listed were decent don't get a Scion tC they are rice burners. Get, The Bug eye wrx models you should be able to find them for like 6-9k.

Make sure engine compresses properly, nothing on the underside wiggles, ball joints are squishy, check fluids (if they are bad it tells you how good or bad the owner maintained the vehicle), and just take it to a mechanic so you don't get screwed like I did.

Okay first off, don't get an Rx8 if you don't know anything about rotary engine. They will burn oil up so fast if you don't know how to take care of it, then about 2000 miles into the car you will burn the engine and be rotted out 5k or whatever you spend on it.
For 8k, you could get a 350z, that's a nice option, as well as a BMW, You can get a 350z for 8k or a bit less.
I'm not a big fan of WRX's but they are fast.
I would personally go for a BMW, or a 350z. They are the most reliable, just make sure the BMW has under 100k. You could possibly get a M3 for cheap, maybe.
350z can run anywhere (a good one) from 7k-12k. So you could look for those in your area.
Celica's are only cool if you spend money on them fast, they look cheap and wack stock. So unless you have extra money that you can spend on a cold air intake and nice rims I wouldn't suggest them. My friend has one that is blacked out with chrome wheels and it's the nicest one I've ever seen. Sounds great too when you rev the engine.
Scion TC's are decent as well, don't look sporty stock, but if you get some nice black rims on it and get it like red or blue then they look good. They aren't loud unless you make them loud, but they are decent for the money.
Like I said, overall it's about how the will do overtime, and the BMW and 350z's are great options.
Also don't forget about the Mazda Miata, so much fun to drive you just look like a fool They can cost you like 2k-5k and are super fun to take around corners

I personally suggest a Honda Accord coupe, I own a 7th gen accord coupe (2003-2007 is 7th gen) and I love it. It's very reliable and gets fairly good gas mileage. My first car was a 2001 BMW 330ci, and I loved that thing, it was great, however it is a maintenance whore. That thing needed so much upkeep and it was very expensive. So I definitely recommend Honda.
